Independent Insurance Agents
 
 
  • Prior sales or account management experience within the insurance industry is not required but preferred.
  • Existing broker relationships and/or industry association memberships are very helpful, as would a background in ancillary sales.
  • Strong relationship skills, ability to successfully interact with customers
  • Insurance License or Willingness to get one

    Family Service Counselors/Aftercare Coordinators

    Funeral Directors/Advanced Planning Directors/Pre-Need Directors
     
    The Director reports to the Sales Manager and is accountable for pre-need sales. The Director also serves families by providing exemplary personalized service and plays an essential role in generating revenue for the client funeral home as well as acting as the primary contact for families. The incumbent assists in growing market share through new heritage.
     
    Responsibilities
    • Establish and maintain strong business relationships with families

    • Respond to client inquiries in a timely, respectful, sensitive and professional manner

    • Effectively conduct and close sales presentations using company-furnished materials

    • Follow up with existing customers to ensure understanding of arrangements

    • Generate sales leads through professionally servicing at-need and pre-need families, networking and interacting in the community

    • Accountable to meet sales performance criteria as established by manager

    • Ensure compliance of operating procedures with federal, state and local regulations and organizational policies and prepare required documentation

    • Communicate progress to team and -manager

    • Contribute to improving processes and systems

    • Any other duties as directed by management except that the incumbent will never have any physical contact with the remains of the deceased at any time.

    • Duty days are assigned to work at the location.
    • This Job is Non-Exempt

     

     

    Qualifications and Education
    • Equivalent to high school education and 1 years of college or an equivalent of education and experience

    • One to two years industry experience would be an asset

    • Must hold valid current license to perform duties (e.g. sell insurance, funeral director's license)

    •   Previous customer service and/or sales experience would be a definite asset
    • Knowledge of computers and some software would be an asset
